The Knoxville Chamber’s annual Digital Marketing Series, presented by BGT Recruiting & Consulting and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, returns next month with four workshops to help improve your digital marketing strategy and grow your business.
“Our month-long Digital Marketing Series offers relevant programming for local business professionals to learn the latest in digital marketing from industry experts,” said Lynsey Wilson, director of marketing and events for the Knoxville Chamber. “We’re excited to offer another great set of seminars this year that help attendees dig deeper into the variety of digital marketing tools available for small businesses.”
Official Google Trainer, Certified StoryBrand Guide and Copywriter and award-winning brand strategist Demming Bass will kick off the Digital Marketing Series with a half-day workshop on Jan. 10. His presentation, “Grow Your Business Online with Google,” teaches attendees how customers find businesses online and how to promote their online presence with search engine optimization (SEO) and online advertising. He will cover tools to help you run your business online, including Google Analytics, G-Suite, Google Trends and more.
On Jan. 17, the team at Slamdot uses a hands-on approach and walks attendees through a mock Facebook ad campaign from start to finish. The session, “Don’t Just Post, Promote: Effective Facebook Advertising,” covers how to invest a relatively small amount of money into advertising on the world’s largest and most successful social network to date, effectively reaching new people and having a direct impact on growing your customer base, increasing revenue and improving your profit in the process.
On Jan. 24, Chris McCarty with Lewis Thomason presents, “Social Media & Employment Law: From Friending to Firing.” Facebook claims over 1 billion active users and many of them work for you. This workshop provides practical advice for handling situations involving social media in the workplace.
The series closes with a lesson on leveraging the optics of social media in “Image is Everything: Creating Power Visual Content.” On Jan. 31, Courtney Jernigan, Creative Director and Owner at Knoxville Graphic House, leads a how-to on creating eye-catching visual content for your organization’s social media channels, even if your equipment is limited to last year’s mobile device.
